Tuolumne County Aquatics Masters Swimming

Tuolumne County Aquatics Masters (TCAM) swimming classes are open to all adults ages 19 and up who are interested in swimming for fitness. The program is offered year-round and provides coached swimming workouts. Each practice divides swimmers into 10 different lanes based on ability so that all levels of swimmers can be accommodated from the very beginner swimmer to the serious competitive swimmer.

Swimmers are taught the correct way to swim the free, back, breast, and fly strokes. No experience or expertise is necessary; we love to welcome first time swimmers of all ages!

Swim meets and open water swims are also optional aspects of the program. It is a fun, social, friendly environment that provides a great workout. There are many practice times available each week. One is sure to fit into your schedule.

Selecting A Workout

New swimmers are welcome at any of the hour workout times.  All levels of abilities are accommodated at each workout. You can vary your daily workout selection based on your schedule.

Prior to starting a workout, new swimmers are encouraged to talk with a coach on the deck during the workout. The coach will be able to show you how swimmers are assigned to each lane based upon ability and conditioning level.

On your first day of swimming, the coach will place you in a lane that will work best for your level of swimming. You will be given individual attention in regards to your strokes, the workout and lane etiquette.  All new swimmers are encouraged to start off slowly and rest frequently. We want you to enjoy your first experience with our program.

See you on the deck!
